This is the first wine classified as special by the producer. The 1856 wine aged during 5 months in a tile dated from 1856, giving that name to this special wine. This great wine, blended with of the two most traditional varieties from white wines in Alentejo: Antão Vaz and Arinto.
The amphora has a symbolic value. It was the most used clay porcelain format in antiquity. We challenged Oleiro Rui, from Olaria Patalim in S. Pedro do Curval to produce us two series of 100, one Arabic numbered and one Roman. To put the wine inside we use a flexible packaging. Wine is always the youngest red, Aragonese and trencher.
